The nong-awaited cassette release by drumming fiend Sean McGuinness is here and it's a sizzler. Sean has released solo material in the past, leaning heavily into the fourth world, Eno-adjacent sound while experimenting on his own, but he is better known as the man in the back of the punk-hardcore outfit Pissed Jeans. Sean and I met thru Mike Petillo, another downright virtuoso responsible for the sprawling electronic landscapes of both Protect-U and Geo Rip. For a brief period of time I was taking part in ruining a beer garden's afternoon leisure by playing absolutely out of place records for the torturous yuppie vibes this place had to offer, and we had Mike as a guest. Sean came with his son and we hung out thru the afternoon enjoying these whacked out records along with 10 other people and watched the faces twist of the salmon short clad crowd who wanted to hear the auditory equivalent to White Claw. Since then Sean and I have grown friendly and when I started this little project I wanted to have him do a follow up to his self-released "Sean On The Drums." I was and am ecstatic that he agreed.
